Chapter in Soundings: Documentary Film and the Listening Experience, co-written with Demelza Kooij on the use of voice in Peter Mettler's films.

I am an experimental filmmaker, sound designer, and music composer. My research and creative interests are entangled and include film sound, audiovisual composition, recording technology / mediation, and the restructuring of time in time-based art forms, notably (audiovisual) canon composition. I am author of several peer reviewed articles and continue to write on art/film topics. My creative work has found an international audience with screenings at accredited film festivals world wide, and music composition / production for dance and multimedia performance / installation in Japan, Australia, and the UK.

In 2015 I was awarded a PhD from the University of Edinburgh. I give guest lectures and workshops at Liverpool John Moores University in sound for film.
